Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Duties Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring a sterile and efficient environment. Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for examinations and treatments. Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Record patient vital signs and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize Dentrix software for managing patient information and scheduling appointments. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Support pediatric patients with a friendly demeanor, making their experience comfortable. Assist in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Stay updated on dental terminology and procedures to provide accurate information to patients. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role is preferred. Proficiency in using Dentrix software is highly desirable. Knowledge of X-ray techniques and safety protocols. Ability to take vital signs accurately. Familiarity with four-handed dentistry practices. Understanding of dental and medical terminology. Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
