Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, with experience in general dentistry and prosthodontics. This role is essential for ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality care in a comfortable environment. The Dental Assistant will work closely with our dentist and other staff members to provide effective patient support and assist in various dental procedures. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared. Take and develop X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety standards and HIPAA regulations. Record patient vital signs and medical histories accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory, including sterilization of instruments. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Manage patient records using dental systems, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date. Schedule appointments and assist with administrative tasks as needed. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental clinic is preferred. Knowledge of prosthodontics, general dentistry practices, and dental terminology is essential. Proficiency in medical imaging techniques, including X-ray operation. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
