Overview Our current fabulous assistant has been accepted to Hygiene School! We need a replacement by the end of the year. Sooner if said replacement needs training. Ideally you are confident in delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring a smooth and efficient clinic operation. Must be comfortable engaging with patients, managing clinical tasks, and maintaining a welcoming environment. What you’ll do Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare and sterilize instruments while adhering to infection control protocols Take X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety standards Manage patient records using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (Open Dental) Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care Perform chairside assisting to enhance workflow during treatments Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation as needed Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow Basic qualifications Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures Proficiency in medical imaging techniques, including 3D scanning Preferred qualifications Experience in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, or pediatrics Understanding of HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality Background in medical coding or documentation is advantageous Why you’ll love it here We are dedicated to fostering an environment where our team members can thrive both professionally and personally.
