Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Office receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and provide excellent customer service at the front desk, managing multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy Schedule patient appointments using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring optimal clinic flow Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes efficiently Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting co-pays and updating patient information in Dentrix Maintain accurate dental records, including documentation review of treatment plans, care plans, and medical histories in compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with dental billing and coding using CPT codes, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards, ensuring accurate submission for Medicare and other insurance claims Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, appointment reminders, and managing correspondence to keep the office organized and compliant Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth intake processes and ensure all documentation is complete for patient visits Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental or medical office environment with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical billing procedures Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms like Athenahealth or Meditech; experience with Epic or eClinicalWorks is a plus Solid understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security Proficiency in medical coding including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards for accurate billing and documentation review Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and office management software Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and appointment schedules Exceptional phone etiquette combined with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred; familiarity with dental terminology such as care plans and intake procedures is advantageous Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding patient service while maintaining efficient office operations Join our team where your enthusiasm meets purpose!
