Dental Assistant - Experienced At A Small World Pediatric Dentistry, we are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team as a Full-Time experienced Dental Assistant. This Dental Assistant position is integral to our commitment to providing top-quality dental care to our community's youth. Duties and Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures. Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment. Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling). Take dental radiographs (x-rays). Manage dental supply inventory and ensure adequate stocking of supplies. Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment. Provide patients with follow-up appointments and dental care information post-treatment. Perform various office tasks as necessary. Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to. Maintain dental records; accurately charting in patient records. Assist in the management of dental and medical emergencies. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Dental Assistant certification from an accredited program. Minimum of 1-year experience as a dental assistant preferred. Strong understanding of dental instruments and standard dental procedures. Proficient in using dental software, ideally with experience in Dentrix. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on patient-facing abilities. Current CPR certification. Current X-ray certification. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A friendly, reassuring, and professional demeanor. Must be a team player and able to work efficiently with others. Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols. Experience in pediatric dentistry is highly advantageous but not mandatory.
