Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Westport, CT
We are an established Privately owned General Dental Practice in Westport, CT, we are a PPO and FFS practice environment, offering state of the art technology and premium care for our patients. Looking for a full time Hygienist. 1 Hour Appointments & 90 minutes for New patients Modern practice and amazing team RESPONSIBILITIES: Evaluate patient oral areas for signs of oral disease and examining oral cavity for signs of periodontal disease or possible cancers, including sores, recessed & bleeding gums, and oral lesions Documents patient medical and dental histories and any chief complaints. Follows through with oral hygiene procedures in accordance with treatment plans prescribed by dentist. Procedures may include: Prophylaxis, Periodontal Scaling, Root Planning, Debridement, Application of Fluoride Treatments, Application of Protective Sealants and administering antimicrobial agents such as Arestin. REQUIREMENTS: Must be a licensed Registered Dental Hygienist 1-2 years experience Active CPR Certification Ability to prepare dental equipment and instruments Excellent working knowledge of overall dentistry and dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation Excellent communication skills Team Player Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $50.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Employee discount Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist (Required) Work Location: In person
