Job Summary We are seeking a skilled, compassionate Dentist with strong communication and people skills to join our well-established, privately owned practice. Responsibilities The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, procedural proficiency, and a commitment to evidence-based dentistry in the following areas: Comprehensive Oral Evaluations: Perform thorough new-patient, periodic, and limited examinations, including caries risk assessment, periodontal charting, occlusal evaluation, soft-tissue screenings, and diagnostic interpretation of radiographs and intraoral images. Same-Day Dentistry & Treatment Planning: Formulate clear, patient-centered treatment plans and complete same-visit restorative or emergency procedures when clinically appropriate to enhance patient experience and case acceptance. Restorative and Surgical Procedures: Diagnose and manage dental pathology across a broad clinical spectrum. Perform direct and indirect restorations, simple and surgical extractions, full-coverage crowns, bridge preparations, and prosthodontic procedures (partial/complete dentures). Maintain high technical accuracy in margin integrity, occlusion, and esthetics. Endodontic Therapy: Provide predictable, high-quality endodontic treatment, including pulpotomies and non-surgical root canal therapy, utilizing proper isolation, instrumentation, irrigation protocols, and obturation techniques. Infection Control & Aseptic Technique: Apply strict infection-control standards in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines. Maintain sterile fields, proper instrument handling, and aseptic workflow throughout all clinical procedures. Patient Communication & Preventive Care: Educate patients on diagnosis, treatment options, post-operative care, oral hygiene techniques, and long-term disease prevention. Communicate findings using clear, empathetic, and health-literacy-appropriate explanations. Clinical Documentation & Practice Management: Maintain meticulous, HIPAA-compliant clinical notes in Curve Dental, including charting, medical history review, informed consent, treatment notes, anesthesia documentation, and billing codes. Four-Handed Dentistry & Team Collaboration: Work efficiently with dental assistants to optimize operatory flow, isolation techniques, instrument transfer, time management, and patient comfort. Professional Development & Continuing Education: Stay current with clinical innovations, materials, and best practices. Participate in continuing education to enhance diagnostic accuracy, procedural efficiency, and overall patient outcomes. Requirements Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid dental license to practice in the state. Should be comfortable handling most dental procedures Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with various dental procedures including endodontics and prosthodontics. Strong patient care skills with a focus on comfort and satisfaction. Ability to perform dental extractions and root canal therapy effectively. Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration. Commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment through adherence to aseptic techniques.
