Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Orthodontist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in orthodontic treatments, a strong commitment to patient care, and proficiency with leading dental software systems. This role offers an opportunity to provide exceptional orthodontic services, including braces and aligners, to a diverse patient population. The Orthodontist will collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure optimal oral health outcomes while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards and privacy laws. This is a part time either one day or two days oer month Duties Diagnose and develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients requiring orthodontic care, including braces, clear aligners, and other corrective appliances. Perform clinical procedures such as dental examinations, patient assessments, and adjustments of orthodontic devices. Conduct dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other related procedures as needed within the scope of orthodontics. Utilize advanced dental imaging techniques to evaluate jaw alignment and tooth positioning. Maintain accurate medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations using software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Educate patients on treatment options, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment care to ensure successful outcomes. Collaborate with general dentists and specialists in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other disciplines for comprehensive patient care. Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all procedures to ensure patient safety. Stay current with advancements in orthodontic technology and techniques through ongoing professional development. Skills Proficiency with dental practice management software including Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical imaging techniques. Experience in pediatric dentistry, pediatric care, and general dentistry procedures is highly desirable. Skilled in four-handed dentistry for efficient clinical workflow. Ability to perform dental fabrication tasks related to orthodontic appliances when necessary. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient assessment and communication. Knowledge of infection control standards and HIPAA compliance requirements. Prior experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment is preferred.
