Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions Assist the dentist during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Maintain accurate and detailed medical records utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Review documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental terminology standards Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental clinic or office environment Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and providing care tailored to childrenâs needs Strong knowledge of general dentistry procedures, infection control standards, and anatomy relevant to oral health Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including chairside assisting and medical imaging procedures Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred Understanding of medical terminology, medical coding, and documentation review processes to ensure precise recordkeeping Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, fostering trust and comfort Join us in delivering outstanding dental care with energy and professionalism!
