We are looking for a friendly, skilled part-time hygienist to join our team. We are a long established, small solo practice. We have a loyal patient base, our goal is to maintain a happy and positive work environment while providing great dental care. We treat our patients like family and have developed and maintained an excellent reputation within the community. Schedule: 2 days a week. Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:00AM - 5:00PM (1 HOUR LUNCH) ; Thursdays are a must but the 2nd day can be flexible to establish if necessary. Established patient appointments are 45 minutes , New patient appointments are 1 hour Job Duties: Patient screening procedures, such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening Taking necessary X-rays Removing calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth Applying preventive materials to the teeth (e.g. fluoride) Record oral health conditions and treatments as planned by the dentist Educating patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, home care) Counseling patients about good nutrition and its impact on oral health Requirements: State Dental Hygiene Licensure Active CPR Certification What we offer: Profit sharing retirement plan Paid Holidays Paid Time off Job Type: Part-time Pay: $50.00 - $51.00 per hour License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist License (Required) Dental License (Preferred) Work Location: In person
