Lemperes Family Dentistry in Bellingham is looking for a Dental Hygienist. We are open to a 1-3 days per week position as we continue to grow our practice. Primary Responsibilities Collaborate with a team of dental professionals to ensure quality patient care Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations on patients Educate patients on preventive care, the oral-systemic link, and be able to demonstrate proper oral hygiene practices Take radiographs, panoramic images and assist with intra oral photos to aid diagnosis Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation and update patient health history information Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies Qualification Requirements Current WA state dental hygienist license in good standing with ability to administer local anesthesia and N20 Current BLS certification Current WISHA, HIPPA, and Infection Control training Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to educate patients about their oral health Know dental terminology and understand common dental practices and procedures Experience with Dentrix and Dexia software preferred but not required Able to work positively and professionally within a team environment One year or more of prior hygiene and periodontal care experience is highly desirable but not required.
