Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Maintain a sterile environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately. Manage patient flow and ensure a positive experience for all patients. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when necessary. Educate patients on postoperative care, oral hygiene, and preventive measures. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records using dental software like Epic. Support pediatric patients with care tailored to their needs in a friendly manner. Requirements Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry is essential. Familiarity with medical coding practices is a plus. Proficiency in using dental equipment, including 3D scanners, is advantageous. Strong understanding of general dentistry practices and pediatric care techniques. Ability to take vital signs and communicate effectively with patients and team members. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records and office cleanliness.
