Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Metamora, IL
We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to help treat patients and promote good oral health practices at our small private practice in Metamora. Starting Immediately. 4-day workweek. Laid back atmosphere with 1 hour slots for re-care and 1.5 hours for new pt appt. New graduates welcome to apply! Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patientsâ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures Take X-rays or dental impressions Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Skills Experience as Dental Hygienist preferred (new graduates also welcome) In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Experience with EagleSoft practice management software is a plus A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Valid license to practice Work Remotely No Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) matching Employee discount Flexible schedule Paid time off People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person
