Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Phoenix, AZ

Job Summary We are a brand new office in the area and we are looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients while supporting the delivery of exceptional dental care. In this vital role, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to positive patient experiences and the overall success of our practice. We are currently looking to hire for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Strong work ethic is required as we are currently building up the practice and adding new patients. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a must. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring a clean, organized environment following infection control protocols. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support with dental instruments and materials. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging equipment while maintaining proper radiation safety standards. Manage patient records accurately within Open Dental software ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort before, during, and after treatments to ensure safety and well-being. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing dental documentation. Maintain strict infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to uphold a safe clinical environment. Requirements Bilingual in English/Spanish. Experience working in a dental clinic setting with proficiency in dental assisting techniques and terminology. Familiarity with Open Dental Software a plus. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, anatomy, dental terminology, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machine, panoramic x-ray, and so on. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages. Certification in radiography or X-ray technology preferred; certification in coronal polishing is a plus.
