Our Work Environment Includes A relaxed atmosphere Growth opportunities Job Description: Top Duties and Qualifications The Dental Assistant/Trainee Dental Assistant position requires a basic understanding of dentistry. The employee will provide handsâon support to the dentist, prepare rooms based on the procedure, update patient records, organize dental tools, and assist the dentist throughout each appointment. Dental Assistant/Trainee Duties and Responsibilities Complete lab work as instructed by the dentist Prepare dental rooms according to the type of procedure Sterilize reusable instruments and ensure the dentist has sufficient instruments throughout the day Assist the dentist during procedures and anticipate their needs Use basic dental software to update and upload patient records Take and process patient Xârays Review patientsâ medical and dental history, ask about concerns or pain, and communicate relevant information to the dentist Clean and sanitize the dental chair and operatory after each patient Educate patients on maintaining proper oral hygiene What Does a Dental Assistant/Trainee Do? Dental Assistants work in various dental specialties, including general dentistry, oral surgery, orthodontics, and periodontics. Their primary role is to support the dentist throughout procedures. Responsibilities include educating patients about recommended services, explaining oral hygiene instructions, taking Xârays, gathering patient concerns, preparing exam areas, assisting with instruments such as suction and mirrors, and monitoring dental supply levels to reorder when necessary.
