Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Phoenix, AZ
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and caring Dental Hygienist to join our team for 2 working days per week, with strong potential to grow into additional days. The ideal candidate is committed to providing high-quality preventive dental care, patient education and support to the dental team. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and polishing procedures to maintain patient oral health. Conduct patient assessments including vital signs and medical history reviews. Assist with chairside procedures such as four-handed dentistry and medical imaging. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment plans. Follow strict infection control protocols utilizing aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Review medical records and documentation for completeness and accuracy in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Take and interpret dental radiographs as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning. Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized care plans for general dentistry patients. Ensure a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment adhering to OSHA standards. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting, preferably within a dental office or clinic environment. Familiarity with dental software Eaglesoft Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical coding. Prior experience with documentation review, medical records management, and dental assisting is advantageous.
