Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures. This position requires a proactive individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with dentists and other healthcare professionals. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and surgeries. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Take X-rays and intra-oral photos as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols Dental software (Open Dental preferred) Dental knowledge Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Support the dental receptionist with administrative tasks as needed, including managing systems for patient flow. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering when necessary. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including familiarity with Open Dental software Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Familiarity with dental equipment and instruments, including X-ray machines.
