Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a dedicated Dental Hygienist working exclusively on Fridays! Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to tailor personalized care plans. Assist during dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to foster long-term dental health habits. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe clinical environment. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification. Proven experience in general dentistry with a strong background in pediatric dentistry preferred. Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for charting and documentation review. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy compliance. Skilled in chairside assisting, medical imaging, vital signs monitoring, and infection control procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems and medical coding practices to ensure accurate recordkeeping and billing. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively and work seamlessly within a team.
