Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and support overall patient health in a friendly and professional environment. This role offers an opportunity to work with a diverse patient base, including pediatric and general dentistry cases, utilizing advanced dental technology and adhering to strict infection control protocols. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix is preferred, along with a solid understanding of dental terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical history Assist in chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort Capture and interpret medical imaging as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical coding in EMR systems Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed through aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures Support pediatric dentistry services by providing gentle care tailored to childrenâs needs Review documentation for accuracy and completeness to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations Skills Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and medical terminology Experience in pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, or both preferred Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during various dental procedures Skilled in vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and patient assessment techniques Familiarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and data security Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration Knowledge of medical coding practices relevant to dental procedures Prior experience working in dental offices or clinics is highly desirable This position is integral to delivering comprehensive oral healthcare while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
