We are looking for a warm and friendly Dental Hygienist to help treat patients and promote good oral health practices. As a Dental Hygienist, you should be reliable and able to build trust with patients of all ages. You should have deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Provide thorough, patient-centered hygiene care including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures Take digital radiographs or dental impressions and maintain accurate charting Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) Maintain documentation on each patient Maintain infection control and sterilization protocols Monitor supplies Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role Current Michigan RDH license In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Positive attitude and strong communication skills Comfortable working in a busy environment Team player with a passion for patient care Valid licence to practice Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $45,000.00 - $76,000.00 per year Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Paid time off Work Location: In person
