Job Summary -We are looking for a PART TIME Hygienist for FRIDAYs and SATURDAYs -MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN A HIGH VOLUME AND HIGH PACE DENTAL OFFICE -MUST HAVE A GREAT TEAM PLAYER ATTITUDE Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on oral hygiene practices, and support the overall efficiency of the dental practice. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history reviews, and dental examinations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment plans to promote lifelong dental health. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow and patient comfort. Capture and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Review documentation for accuracy, update patient charts, and assist with medical coding for billing purposes. Qualifications Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience working in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or dental clinics with a focus on pediatrics preferred. Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly. Familiarity with EMR systems, medical records management, and documentation review processes.
