Responsibilities: Perform thorough dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to maintain patient oral health Conduct comprehensive periodontal assessments and document findings in patient charts Take and review dental X-rays and present findings to the dentist Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, home care, and preventive strategies Screen patients for oral cancer, gum disease, and other dental health concerns Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants as indicated Collaborate with Dr. Erler and the dental team to develop individualized patient treatment plans Requirements: Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Montana Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program Current CPR/BLS certification Experience with dental practice management software preferred Strong knowledge of periodontal therapy and preventive dental care Excellent chairside manner with the ability to put patients at ease Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills About Us: Scott Erler DDS is a trusted dental practice proudly serving the Missoula, MT community with high-quality, patient-centered dental care.
