Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and implant dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) and utilize 3D scanners for accurate medical imaging and diagnosis. Manage patient records using Dentrix Ascend ensuring all medical documentation is complete and compliant with HIPAA regulations. Perform chairside assisting with vital signs measurement, medical history updates, and explaining procedures to patients to foster trust and understanding. Support administrative tasks including answering the dental receptionist phone line, scheduling appointments, and managing medical records with precision. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred; familiarity with dental assisting practices is essential. Proficiency with Dentrix Ascend is desirable. Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety.
