Your responsibilities as a Dental Assistant include: Preparing, sterilizing, and maintaining dental equipment and instruments Collecting patient health histories, taking impressions and X-rays Ensuring patient comfort during procedures Preparing dental materials (cements, composites, impression materials, etc.) Assisting the doctor during treatments and emergencies Charting treatment information accurately Delivering post-op and oral care instructions Maintaining infection control and patient privacy Assisting with customer service and presenting treatment plans What Weâre Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program or dental assistant experience preferred Previous customer service or office experience Proficiency or the ability to become proficient within 90 days in dental terminology and dental software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc. Strong verbal and written communication skills Foster a positive attitude and be a team player Patient Care Hours: Monday 7:30am to 5:00pm Tuesday 7:30am to 5:00pm Wednesday 7:30am to 5:00pm Thursday 7:30am to 5:00pm Why Wausau?
