Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the dental practice. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready for use. Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical records and patient information, including medical history and treatment plans. Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing processes. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Monitor vital signs of patients when necessary, ensuring their well-being throughout their visit. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Support pediatric dentistry by providing compassionate care tailored to younger patients. Assist with prosthodontics procedures as required, ensuring high standards of patient care. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with medical terminology and record keeping is essential. Proficiency in using X-ray equipment and 3D scanners is highly desirable. Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is advantageous. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus. Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental software systems is preferred. Ability to take vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to patient needs. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on patient interaction.
