Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and dental charts to ensure safe and effective treatment plans Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health Manage medical imaging procedures such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Review and update medical records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Monitor patient comfort throughout treatments, providing chairside assistance with dental terminology knowledge and patient care skills Skills Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation review and record keeping Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, U.S infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform patient assessment tasks including vital signs measurement and medical history review Knowledge of general dentistry procedures Coronal Polishing Cleaning subgingivally and supragingivally Taking FMS Taking Panoramics Periodontal and hard and soft tissue charting Sealants if needed Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health needs while maintaining HIPAA compliance Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have at least 1 year of US Dental Hygiene experience Work Location: In person
