Permanent Dental Assistant Job in New York, NY
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing team at Columbus Park Dental on TUESDAYS , THURSDAYS AND FRIDAYS ! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment - Take dental x-rays + CBCT + PANO - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment Experience: - Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant - Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control protocols - Knowledge of dental systems and terminology - Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate assistance - Familiarity with dental assisting procedures, including chairside assisting, impressions, and restorative procedures - Familiarity with iTero and Planmeca - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation Assistant hours are: Tuesday 7:30am - 4:30pm Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm Friday 7:30am-3:30pm Job Type: Part-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Experience: Chairside assisting: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person
