Job Overview The Mothersâ Action Project for Child Health (MAP-CH) is a five-year, NIH-funded research study examining child health and oral health among Bangladeshi families living in New York City. We are seeking a part-time/as needed Registered Dental Hygienist to conduct oral health examinations with enrolled study participants. This role is ideal for hygienists interested in community-based research, public health, and early childhood oral health . For candidates interested in research, there may be opportunities to participate in data analysis and manuscript preparation for publication . Responsibilities Conduct oral health examinations on children ages 1â3 years Perform exams in participantsâ homes Work alongside a Bengali-speaking research assistant during all visits Follow standardized research protocols and documentation procedures Location & Scheduling Participants are located in Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn Applicants should be comfortable using public transportation or driving in NYC , particularly in the outer boroughs Some evening and/or weekend hours may be required based on participant availability Training Comprehensive training will be provided by the studyâs Research Dental Hygienist All training hours are compensated Ideal Candidate Licensed Registered Dental Hygienist (NY license required) Comfortable working with toddlers and families in home-based settings Interest in public health, research, or community-engaged care is a plus Job Types: Part-time, Contract Pay: $85.00 per hour Work Location: In person
