As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing preventive dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry. Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment during procedures. Conduct thorough documentation reviews and maintain accurate patient records using dental office systems such as Dentrix. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist in infection control measures to maintain a clean and safe clinic environment. Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Provide support in dental assisting tasks as needed, ensuring smooth workflow within the clinic. Qualifications Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus. Proficiency in infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively. Detail-oriented with excellent documentation review capabilities. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
