The right candidate will have a background in working with children, and will feel comfortable answering questions and providing information to adults as well. This position requires long hours, so the right candidate must be able to maintain a positive attitude under pressure and be able to work independently without supervision. Responsibilities: Assist orthodontist with patient appointments, including preparing patients for treatment and maintaining patient records. Work directly with doctors and dentists. Understand medical terms used by doctors and dentists. Maintain a clean office environment. Create and maintain records for patients. Utilize specialized equipment such as x-rays, braces, and lasers. Create orthodontic molds. Understand basic dental materials science.
