Dental Hygienist - Chamberlain Family Dentistry - Chamberlain, SD

Chamberlain Family Dentistry is seeking a professional Registered Dental Hygienist for a full-time or part-time position that would include a variety of clinical responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be reliable, motivated and able to maintain a positive attitude in a fast paced work environment. We are located about 100 yards from the Missouri River in the great community of Chamberlain, South Dakota. Both new grads and experienced applicants welcome. We are truly a family dental clinic. The patients we serve are our friends, family and fellow community members. We take the time and effort to get to know our patients. Adult recall appointments are 60 minutes and new patients are 90. We have a dedicated Sterilization/Hygiene Assistant to help facilitate a more laid back experience for the patient and providers. This is not a dental mill, get them in and get them out quick kind of office. Our hygiene rooms are individual rooms with pocket doors, not open bays. We are fully digital (Eaglesoft) and each room has its own x-ray tube head and digital sensor. All of the equipment and cabinetry is either new or less than 5 years old. We have a computer monitor at 12 o’clock and another on the chair. We don’t sell anything here, including dentistry. We pride ourselves on educating patients and enabling them to make decisions based on the information we provide to them regarding their oral condition. Our treatment plans are patient-centered and individualized, not insurance driven. Patients are educated on oral hygiene techniques and products, given samples and directed to the pharmacy, or online, etc for purchases. There are no quotas or “financial goals.” Quite simply we treat the patient’s needs and nothing more. This office is a team and we are truly drama free. We start our morning huddle together at 7:45 AM and we all stay until the day is done to pitch in with end of day activities.
