Dental Assistant - Cordova dentures and implants - Cordova, TN

Small practice dental office looking to add an experienced dental assistant to the team. Assistant must be experienced in: -Familiar with all steps of denture and partial denture fabrication. Able to take alginate impressions, seat, adjust, and check bite. Willing to learn more difficult steps of wax rim and teeth try-in procedures. -Assistant must be able to take clear and readable radiographs without multiple retakes, keeping patient comfortable throughout FMX. Must be able to acknowledge acceptable x-ray, and be able to determine when new radiographs are necessary. -Making temporary crown and bridge with little to no help. Including Anterior temporaries in a timely manner. -Packing gingival retraction cord in preparation for scans. -Proficient with scanning for crown and bridge, nightguards, etc. -Taking pre and post op photos. -Be able to review medical history prior to appointments. -Must complete in depth notes for dental procedures prior to end of day. - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, keep instruments organized and prepared for use. - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations - Maintain patient records and schedule appointments - Provide post-operative instructions to patients - Ensure compliance with infection control protocols - Perform various office tasks as needed -Keep office clean and orderly - MUST be on time. - MUST be familiar with treatment planning dental procedures - Understanding of HIPAA regulations - Strong patient assessment skills - Proficiency in infection control practices - Ability to work well in a team environment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Flexible spending account Paid time off Vision insurance Experience: Dental clinic: 1 year (Required) Ability to Relocate: Cordova, TN 38018: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
