Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments, materials, and supplies to ensure seamless dental procedures. Assist dentists during various treatments including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric dentistry procedures with precision and care. Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging tools while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Take and develop X-rays in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure accurate medical documentation within EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Manage patient flow by greeting patients as a dental receptionist, verifying vital signs, updating medical records, and explaining procedures clearly. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following infection control protocols to uphold safety standards. Support the dental team with administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing medical coding for insurance claims. Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic setting with proficiency in dental assisting techniques. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic technique. Familiarity with Dentrix managing medical records and documentation. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during general dentistry procedures as well as specialized fields like prosthodontics or endodontics. Certification in X-ray technology and knowledge of dentistry are highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages including pediatrics.
