Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Duluth, GA

Overview We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and motivated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to providing high-quality preventive dental care in a welcoming environment. Duties Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to prevent cavities and gum disease Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral health evaluations Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Assist with chairside procedures such as medical imaging, medical records documentation review, and medical coding as needed Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for accurate documentation and record keeping Support pediatric patients with age-appropriate care and communication Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques in accordance with HIPAA regulations Take and interpret dental radiographs (medical imaging) while ensuring patient safety and comfort Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop individualized treatment plans Ensure compliance with all health regulations related to infection control, anatomy knowledge, and medical records management Experience Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state certification Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings preferred Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft is highly advantageous Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding practices Experience in chairside assisting, patient care, patient assessment, and infection control procedures Prior work in dental office or clinic environments demonstrating proficiency in documentation review and aseptic techniques Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to oral health is beneficial Benefits: Competitive hourly pay Supportive and professional work environment Modern office with updated technology Opportunity for additional hours based on pracice needs This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated hygienist committed to delivering exceptional patient care within a collaborative team environment.
