Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental clinic as either a part-time or full-time practitioner. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and have experience in providing high-quality dental hygiene services. This role involves working closely with dentists and assisting in the delivery of comprehensive dental care, particularly in pediatric dentistry settings. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of maintaining good dental health. Educate patients on periodontal disease Document patient care accurately, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes using Open Dental software. Apply fluoride treatments and sealants as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety and infection control protocols. Retain patients through scheduling recall examinations/cleanings Requirements Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist in the State of Minnesota. Strong understanding of dental terminology and medical terminology related to patient care. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
