Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Monroe, MI

Responsibilities Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, fluoride treatments, and oral cancer screenings. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for at-home care. Take digital dental x-rays Record patient medical history and treatment plans in electronic health record system Maintain a clean and sterile work environment. Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Monitor supplies Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role (Open to new graduates) In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment A patient and friendly personality Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental coding. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with patients and other members of the dental team. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program. Current state license to practice dental hygiene.
