We are looking for a part time or full-time Dental hygienist for our location to join our team of professionals. Patients deserve excellent care from caring, motivated individuals. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and are committed to delivering the highest quality care, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity Responsibilities Cleaning teeth: Use a variety of tools to remove plaque, tartar, and stains, such as scalers, toothbrushes, and water/air syringes. Dental equipment preparation and maintenance experience Apply fluoride or other agents to help strengthen teeth and prevent tooth decay. Examines oral cavity for mouth lesions, sores, recessed gums, and bleeding gums as well as evaluating overall oral health. Maintain records of patients' dental histories, including oral health status, treatments received, and relevant medical histories. Maintains oral hygiene according to the treatment plan prescribed by the attending dentist. It may include prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, x-rays, fluoride treatments, and full mouth debridement. Disinfects and sterilizes equipment and instruments. Educates patients on oral hygiene, diet, and fluoride use. Maintains strong working relationships with doctor, dental assistant, office manager, receptionist, and other hygienists by mentoring them and providing training. Qualifications Valid Dental Hygienist license with current state licensure. Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and understanding of anatomy related to oral health. Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to maintain a safe clinical environment. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while demonstrating excellent patient care skills.
