Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and current dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options. Administer anesthesia for necessary procedures as scaling and root planing. Take X-rays, ensuring accurate documentation within dental records Maintain detailed and accurate dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop individualized treatment plans. Ensure all clinical procedures adhere to infection control standards and maintain a sterile environment. Support pediatric dentistry cases when necessary, applying specialized techniques for young patients. Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in New Jersey. Proven experience in general dentistry and dental clinic environments. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control procedures. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical records management. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse populations including pediatrics.
