Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history and vital signs to ensure safe treatment planning Assist the dentist during procedures such as examinations, restorations, and other dental treatments with chairside assistance Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting treatment procedures, patient responses, and medical history in EMR systems Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, ensuring a positive experience while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Skills Proficiency with dental software such as Denticon for scheduling, documentation review, and record management Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and medical terminology Experience with pediatric dentistry and pediatrics-specific patient care techniques Skilled in four-handed dentistry to optimize efficiency during clinical procedures Ability to measure vital signs accurately and perform basic medical assessments when necessary Familiarity with general dentistry practices, including documentation review and medical coding for billing purposes Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration in a fast-paced dental environment Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives by delivering compassionate, comprehensive dental hygiene care.
