About us: We are husband and wife dentists opening a new office and looking for an amazing dental hygienist to join our team! We are a private practice (not affiliated with any DSO) with a mission to provide outstanding, relationship-based care in Manor, TX and the surrounding communities. Job Description: In this role, you will have the opportunity to both develop an amazing hygiene department and create the best office culture possible. You will provide high-quality care to our expanding patient base through preventative treatment, patient education, and co-diagnosis alongside the dentist and the rest of the team. The ideal candidate values long term patient relationships, communicates clearly, and enjoys collaborating with a supportive team to make a meaningful impact on the oral health of our community. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive preventive and periodontal care, including diagnostics, prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing. Review patient medical and dental histories and update charting accurately. Perform detailed clinical evaluations, including oral cancer screenings, periodontal charting, and thorough documentation of findings. Capture high-quality digital radiographs and intraoral photos. Apply preventive agents such as fluoride varnish and sealants, and perform non-surgical periodontal therapies as indicated. Educate patients of all ages on home care, periodontal disease prevention, caries risk, and the connection between oral and systemic health. Collaborate closely with the dentist for co-diagnosis, case review, and treatment planning; effectively communicate findings and recommendations to patients. Maintain accurate, detailed, and compliant clinical notes. Adhere to strict infection control and sterilization protocols. Partner with the team to manage hygiene recall systems and maintain optimal patient follow-up. Actively participate in team meetings, continuing education, and initiatives that enhance our patient-centered culture..
