Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planning, and polishing procedures to maintain optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review, to ensure safety during treatment. Assist with chairside procedures such as medical imaging, cavity detection, and applying fluoride treatments. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records using EMR systems like Eaglesoft. Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination. Review medical records and documentation to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide comprehensive patient care in general dentistry settings. Ensure the clinical environment adheres to all safety standards, including infection control and anatomy knowledge. Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and HIPAA compliance standards. Ability to assess patients’ medical status accurately through vital signs and medical history review.
