Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and contribute to a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, while adhering to infection control protocols. Record vital signs and medical history using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic. Educate patients on oral health care and post-treatment instructions. Maintain aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure a safe clinical environment. Support the implementation of four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort. Requirements Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform X-ray procedures and operate medical imaging equipment safely. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical coding practices. Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus; familiarity with pediatrics is beneficial. Certification or training in chairside assisting or dental assisting programs preferred. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
