Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the activities of dental assistants and support staff to ensure smooth clinic operations Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and sterilization processes following aseptic techniques Perform chairside assisting with skills in four-handed dentistry, taking vital signs, and medical imaging such as X-rays and 3D scans Manage electronic health records (EMR systems) including Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Epic, and other medical documentation platforms while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on treatment plans, dental terminology, post-operative care, and preventive practices Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization procedures and knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with strong knowledge of dental assisting procedures and clinical workflows Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Epic or similar platforms Expertise in chairside assisting for diverse dental specialties including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry Proficiency in taking X-rays, vital signs, medical imaging (including 3D scanners), and understanding of anatomy knowledge Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Ability to communicate effectively using dental terminology and medical coding standards Certification in dental assisting or related field; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or advanced imaging are a plus Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering outstanding dental care!
