Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, managing patient records, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. This role is vital in delivering high-quality dental care across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics procedures. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic is preferred. The Dental Assistant will play a key role in maintaining compliance with HIPAA and infection control protocols while delivering compassionate patient care. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies using aseptic techniques Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed Record vital signs and medical history information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic Maintain patient comfort through effective chairside assisting and providing clear explanations of procedures using appropriate dental terminology Manage medical documentation and records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Support infection control standards by adhering to sterilization procedures and maintaining a clean clinical environment Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow when acting as a dental receptionist Perform other duties related to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, or endodontics as needed Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is advantageous Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dental procedures Experience with X-ray imaging techniques and 3D scanners is a plus Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques in a clinical environment Background in pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is desirable Certification or training in chairside assisting and medical coding is beneficial but not mandatory This position offers an opportunity to work within a professional team dedicated to delivering exceptional dental care while supporting your career growth through ongoing training and development.
