Responsibilities Deliver engaging lectures and practical demonstrations on dental terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care. Develop and update curriculum content aligned with current industry standards and educational best practices. Supervise students during clinical practice sessions, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Blackboard to facilitate course delivery, assessments, and student engagement. Review documentation related to clinical research, clinical trials, and laboratory experiences to enhance instructional materials. Assess student performance through examinations, practical evaluations, and ongoing feedback to support their professional growth. Incorporate learning technology tools to create interactive lessons that enhance understanding of complex concepts like acute care, critical care, veterinary terminology, and public health topics. Collaborate with colleagues on program development initiatives, including curriculum design and accreditation processes. Stay current with advancements in dental assisting techniques, medical terminology, veterinary sciences, and healthcare education trends. Requirements Proven experience in teaching or training within higher education settings or vocational programs related to dental assisting or healthcare fields. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, nursing practices, and patient care procedures. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems such as Blackboard or similar platforms for course management. Experience in curriculum development, classroom instruction, and utilizing learning technology tools for effective teaching. Supervising experience in clinical or laboratory environments is preferred. Background in clinical research or laboratory work related to healthcare or veterinary sciences is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage adult learners effectively. Knowledge of documentation review processes related to clinical trials or healthcare records is desirable. Experience working with diverse student populations including adult learners; experience in pediatrics or veterinary sciences is a plus. Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching strategies based on student needs and technological advancements in education.
