We are looking for a fun, friendly Registered Dental Hygienist that is a TEAM player. We ask you have at least 2 years of experience, have a valid Registered Dental Hygienist License that allows you to work in the state of Florida and is self-motivated. Our office is extremely low stress and we have been in business for over 25 years. We do not accept PPO's or HMO's, we are a fee for service office. We are not a corporation, we are a private practice and pride ourselves in our honesty and quality of care. We are passionate about providing our patients with optimal oral health. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures Take X-rays Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Monitor supplies Schedule recall appointments Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Diploma in Dental Hygiene; Master’s is a plus Valid licence to practice Job Type: Part-time Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Schedule: 8 hour shift Ability to Commute: Coral Springs, FL 33065 (Required) Work Location: In person
