Our ultra professional and energetic team and modern office in the heart of Viera makes White Palm Dental one of the best places to work in the area as a dental assistant! *Job Overview* We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our growing team at White Palm Dental as we continue building a practice focused on exceptional care and a welcoming environment. With one of our team members moving to pursue further educational goals, this opening presents an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in both our patients' oral health and their overall experience in our office. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a key clinical role, providing preventive care, patient education, and support to Dr. McGavin. You will be instrumental in fostering trust with patients, helping them feel comfortable and empowered to take charge of their oral health. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering gentle, thorough care. We value professionalism, teamwork, and a warm, friendly demeanor. Youâll be part of a close-knit team and will contribute to the positive culture weâve created from the ground up. This is a part-time position. Hours: Thursdays; 7:30 AM â 4:30 PM. Start Date: January 8, 2026 Responsibilities Provide thorough dental cleanings, including scaling & root planing, and polishing Take digital radiographs and assist with diagnostic procedures Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care Conduct periodontal charting and risk assessments Apply sealants and fluoride treatments as needed Maintain accurate and complete clinical notes Prepare and sterilize instruments following OSHA and CDC protocols Support Dr. McGavin during exams Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients Contribute to a positive, respectful, and collaborative team environment Requirements Active CRDH license in good standing (Florida) Some clinical hygiene experience preferred, but new grads encouraged to apply Proficiency in digital charting and familiarity with computers Strong attention to detail and time management skills Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning Understanding of infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations With Dr. McGavinâs dedication to personalized care and our modern, inviting space, White Palm Dental offers a rewarding environment where your skills and compassion truly make a difference.
