Dental Assistant - Part-Time - Boardwalk Pediatric Dental - Farmington, UT

We are an awesome, positive, and fun-focused pediatric dental office seeking an awesome, team-player Dental Assistant to join our incredible dental team part-time Tuesday through Friday. Hours would be 1pm to 5:30pm Wednesday and Thursday and 7am to 3pm on Fridays with a full day every other Tuesday as well. We offer two retirement plans (one a 5% match 401k and the other which we directly contribute to your retirement). Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to infection control protocols and proper sterilization techniques. Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Schedule appointments and manage the dental reception area, providing excellent customer service to patients. Utilize dental software such as Curve for managing patient information and treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Assist with the management of inventory for dental supplies and equipment. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy. Familiarity with infection control protocols and medical records management is essential. Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
