Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly Assist dentists during various procedures such as cleanings, restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and comfort for both patient and provider Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and well-being Maintain infection control standards through aseptic technique, proper sterilization procedures, and adherence to OSHA guidelines Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Epic or similar platforms for managing medical documentation and records Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental care Skilled in taking X-rays, using 3D scanners, and performing medical imaging techniques with precision Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination Ability to operate dental equipment including digital X-ray machines and 3D scanners effectively Excellent communication skills as a Dental Receptionist when interacting with patients before and after procedures Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication makes a difference!
