We are seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our amazing hygiene team. Millennium Family Dental is a multi-doctor, privately owned practice in beautiful Meridian, Idaho. As a Dental Hygienist at Millennium you will play a vital role in providing exceptional dental care, using advanced technology, equipment and training. Your primary responsibilities will include performing dental cleanings, x-rays, periodontal charting, photos, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and sleep screenings. Duties: - Perform thorough dental cleanings and remove plaque and tartar buildup - Take dental x-rays and assist with other medical imaging procedures - Conduct oral cancer screenings and identify any abnormalities - Administer local anesthesia when necessary - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide personalized modulated recommendations - Sterilization of instruments - Update and maintain accurate medical documentation using Open Dental software - Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures - Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality Qualifications: - Valid state license as a Dental Hygienist - In-depth knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options - Strong attention to detail - Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals and leadership - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written If you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference in patients' lives while working in a supportive and professional environment, we encourage you to apply!
